What Is Racism, Really?

Everyone just thinks of racism as hate and superiority against one or more races. Well, it is that, but there's more to it than just hating a race and feeling superior to those races. Racists always find an excuse to be racist.
During the 16th through 19th centuries slaves were mistreated in a harsh and brutal way by their white masters. That was obviously racism because there were no real white slaves or other non-black people that would work for free. Even after the Emancipation Proclamation was passed in 1863, blacks still faced the same mistreatment as they did prior. In the mid-1900's, blacks would be beaten and arrested because they were fighting and protesting for their equal rights. Some blacks found themselves with the Ku Klux Klan. They are shown in this image:

They were a group of white men who were (or are) pro-white supremacy and anti-immigration. That means although they mainly focused on anti-black activities, they probably also hated Mexicans and other Hispanics. Right now, lots of immigrants are coming to the U.S. from Hispanic countries, like Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Panama, and also from other countries around the world. They deserve to stay here, not there. Next post, I'm going to talk about immigration.

Hi, I'm Roger Manuel Rosales. Today I'm going to talk to you about racism. Racism is a belief that one race is superior to others. The reason why I want to talk about racism is because I happen to be Hispanic, and lately there have been many hate crimes, mainly against Hispanics. Apparently a few months ago, a group of stupid neo-Nazis murdered a gay Chilean man, Daniel Zamudio. This was him:

RIP

That is an example of an anti-hate crime and also why I get pissed off sometimes. How are Nazis better than us? They're white and Hispanics can be mixed European, Native American, black, and even Asian. Since we are part white, they shouldn't be discriminating us because Nazis and the Spanish (the race that created Hispanics) are from Europe. Many people worry when this happens, but one good thing did come out of it: the fact that Chile passed a law that serves his justice and honors his memory.
